Frank F. (Chummy) Braun, 80, of 127 Pine St., Whitelaw, died Saturday evening, October 19, 1991 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Saur Funeral Home, kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Whitelaw. Rev. Richard H. Heymen will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery.

Born March 23, 1911, at Whitelaw, son of the late Frank and Margaret Grall Braun. He grew up and was educated in the Whitelaw area. He farmed for many years and retired from the Manitowoc Engineering Company in 1976. He was married to Marian A. Nesper, April 25, 1939 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Francis Creek. The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1989. He was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and Holy Name Society. He was a retired member of Whitelaw Fire Department, charter member of Whitelaw Lions Club and member and past president of the Whitelaw-Branch-Cato Senior Citizens Club. Frank loved to play cards with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Marian; children include: Richard (Joyce) Braun of St. Nazianz, Kenneth(Marie) of Manitowoc, Judy (James)Zlatohlavek of Manitowoc, Patricia (Burl)Cavanaugh of Manitowoc, Roger (Linda) Braun of Manitowoc, Robert (Maggie) Braun of Whitelaw; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Blance (Elmer) Neuser of Manitowoc, Eleanor Swetlik of Manitowoc and Tillie (Paul) Pakenham of Minnesota; 16 grandchildren; a great grandson; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a parish rosary service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by Father Heymen.
