James Lewis Ellison
James Lewis Ellison, 73, of Gulfport, son of the late Robert Raiford Ellison and Sarah Salley Ellison of Ebenezer, passed away Thursday, April 19 at the Gulfport Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services were held at Reimann’s Funeral Home on April 21, 1984 at 12:00 noon. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport. Rev. Ross Carter, his pastor of Buron Memorial United Methodist Church, officiated.
Mr. Ellison was retired from Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi. He leaves his wife, Irma Salley Ellison: a son, David Raiford Ellison; four grandchildren of Louisville, Kentucky; one brother, Lute Ellison: three sisters, Mrs. C.C. (Maude) Legate, Mrs. J.W. (Lennie) Herring and Mrs. C.O. (Louisa) Sudbeck, all of Lexington.
