Nellie Ellison Sample
Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Ellison Sample, 80, were held on Monday, October 4 at 10 a.m. at the Belzoni Methodist Church. Interment followed in the Belzoni City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sample, a resident of Belzoni, died at the Humphreys County Hospital on Saturday,October 2.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene C. Sample; a daughter, Mrs. William H. Allen of Belzoni; a son, Eugene C. Sample, Jr. of Tuscumbia, Alabama; two brothers, Lute Ellison of Lexington and Lewis Ellison of Gulfport; three sisters, Louisa E. Sudbeck, Lennie E. Herring and Maude E. Legate, all of Lexington: five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mortimer Funeral Home of Belzoni was in charge of arrangements.
