Funeral services for Lennie Ellison Herring, 80, of Lexington were held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22 from Southern Funeral Home chapel in Lexington with Rev. Andy Ray officiating. Interment followed in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.
Mrs. Herring, a native of Holmes County and a housewife, died at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi in Lexington on Friday, August 21. She was a member of Lexington First United Methodist Church. She moved to Lexington from Long Beach in 1978.
Mrs. Herring is survived by one brother, Lute Ellison, and two sisters, Louisa Sudbeck and Maude Legate, all of Lexington.
Pallbearers were John Raiford Ellison, Claude Legate, Robert Allen Legate, Edwin Ellison, George Shute, and Bill Allen.
