Mrs. Louisa Sudbeck, 78, a homemaker, of Lexington, died Monday, August 10 of chronic lung disease at St. Catherine's Village.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 11 at First United Methodist Church of Lexington with the Rev. Tom Hollowell officiating. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

A Lexington native, Mrs. Sudbeck was committed to the Methodist Church all of her life. Her early ministry and love was the Bowling Green Methodist Church, and later the First United Methodist Church of Lexington. After she became a shut-in, she continued this caring through daily cards and notes to her friends and family.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sarah Evelyn Nelson of Jackson and Betty Lynn Hunt of Clarksdale; one brother, Lute Ellison of Lexington; and seven grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were John Raiford Ellison, Jim Eley, Charles Ellison, Ed Ellison, Robert Allen Legate, Claude Legate, Bill Allen, Jr., Sonny Ellison and Jimmy Ellison.
