NESS CITY - Agnes Sophia Friebus Tittel, 110,
died March 3, 2000, at Ness County Long
Term Care Center, Ness City.
She was bom Jan. 26, 1890, at Wilson, the
daughter of John and Anna Friebus.
A Ness County resident since 1916, spending
the last 14 years at Ness County Long Term
Care Center, she was a homemaker.
She was a charter member of Our Redeemer
Lutheran Church, Ness City. On Dec. 28,
1916, she married John Tittel at Bazlne.
He died April 24,1969.
Survivors Include: four sons, Al, Great
Bend, Werner "Vernle," Hays, Theodore
"Ted," Cincinnati, and Carl, Gore,
Okla.; a daughter, Regina Stoppel,
Ness City; 31 grandchildren; 41 great-
grandchildren; and numerous step-
grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren,
great-great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by three sons,
Otto, Edward and Gerhardt; a daughter,
Betty Waterhouse; five brothers,
William, Erich, Carl, Theodore and Traugott
Friebus; four sisters, Emma Homeier, Theresa
Galliardt, Margaret Tittel and
Anna Friebus; two grandsons; and a great-
grandson.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Our
Redeemer Lutheran Church, Ness City,
with Intern Pastor Yvonne Marshall presiding.
Burial will be In Ness City Cemetery.
