Carl Wamboldt

Services for Carl Wamboldt, 80, will be conducted Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Torrington by Rev. Marilyn McGraw with burial in Valley View Cemetery.

Mr. Wamboldt died July 4, 1992, at his home in Morrill, Neb. He was born Feb. 18, 1912, at Gering, Neb., the son of G. Henry and Eva Elizabeth (Mill) Wamboldt. He grew up and attended school at Gering, and later farmed with his father.

On Dec. 19, 1937, he married Mollie Schnell.

Mr. Wamboldt farmed north of Henry, Neb., for many years. He was also employed with the Holly Sugar Company during campaigns from 1956 to 1977. He retired in 1978. Mr. Wamboldt was a member of the United Methodist Church in Torrington.

Survivors include a son, Carl H. Wamboldt of Cheyenne; three daughters, Carolyn F. King of Lincoln, Neb., Edith V. Ogle of Casper and Damaris J. Lewis of Alliance, Neb.; two brothers, George Wamboldt of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Alex Wamboldt of Kirkland, Wash.; a sister Millie Libsack of Scottsbluff; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and three sisters.

Friends may call at the Colyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 3:30 to 10 a.m. and at the service.

Memorials to the Gideon Society would be appreciated by the family.
