Scottsbluff - Melia Libsack, 78, of Scottsbluff, died Monday Dec. 21, 1998 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at Zion Evangelical Church in Scottsbluff, with the Rev. Doug Jones officiating. Interment will be Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. A memorial has been established to the church. Jolliffe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 2, 1920 in Gering to Henry and Eva (Mill) Wamboldt, where she grew up and received her education at Gering rural schools. She married Reinnie Libsack on May 23, 1936, in Torrington, Wyo.. They farmed in Gering and Alliance before moving to San Diego in 1957, where she worked as a seamstress for Ratner Manufacturing for 17 years until her retirement. She moved back to Scottsbluff in 1986.
She was a member of the church.
She is survived by sons and daughter-in-law Gary and Connie Libsack of Livingstion, Mont., and Norman Libsack of San Diego; daughter and sone-in-law Deborah and Bill Downs of Rozet, Wyo.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by parents, her husband, three sisters and four brothers.
