Alex Wambolt

Alex Wambolt, 85, of Seattle died Aug. 18, 1995, in a nursing home.

A graveside service was Aug. 22 at Washington Memorial Park in Seattle.

He was born Sept. 29, 1909, in Fort Collins, Colo., to Henry and Eva (Mill) Wambolt. He grew up in and made his home in Gering. He married Rose Gabel in Gering and lived there until 1947 when they moved to Moses Lake, Wash. In 1966, they moved to Seattle where he was employed as a custodian with the Bellevue School District until his retirement in 1970.

Survivors include a daughter Miriam Peil of Seattle; sister Melia Libsack of Scottsbluff; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rose in 1992; parents; three brothers; three sisters; and two children.
