After a week's illness with leukemia, Mrs. Benj. R. Senske, lifetime resident of Waseca, passed away at 12:30 Monday morning at Memorial hospital where she had been a patient since last Friday. The Senske address is 215 3rd Ave. N. E. in this city. Final rites for the 66-year-old woman will be held Wednesday, May 5, with an 11 o'clock family service at the Pfaff Home for Funerals followed by 2:00 p. m. Services from the Evangelical United Brethren church, with the Rev. Ezra Budke in charge. Interment will be in Woodville cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Senske are her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Frank Kiesler Jr., (Margaret), Minneapolis, and a son Charles Senske, St. Louis, Mo. She also leaves a brother, Wesley Mahler of Winnebago and four sisters, Mrs. Alvin Koechel (Minnie) and Mrs. S. H. Pfaff (Lydia), both of Waseca, Miss Freda Mahler of Madison, S. D., and Miss Louise Mahler, Minneapolis. Born August 10, 1887, Mrs. Senske was the former Clara E. Mahler, a member of the family of Fred W. And Sophie Beese Mahler. Her father first held a partnership in a local hardware store locating in this city in 1898. He continued as a co-owner until 1903 when he purchased sole interest. Following his death, the business was operated by his son, George until he died, and is now owned by George Mahler Jr. Mr. and Mrs. Senske were married in this city on October 21, 1913. Her membership included the Evangelical United Brethren church and two lodges, Order of Eastern Star and Rebekahs. Named as pall bearers for the final rites are Leonard Bathke, Harlan Schauer, Frank Kiesler, Sr., George Engel, Allen Wolf and Art Brisbane.
