Last Thursday in Freeport Mr. Henry Bäuning died at the age of 64 years, having partaken of the sacraments of the Catholic Church. Six years ago the deceased came to America, and until last fall enjoyed enviable good health. At that time he became confined to his bed, which proved to be permanent, with few periods of relief. He was an active member of the Freeport flourishing St. Joseph's Society and is their first member to be carried off by death. The attendance at his funeral, which took place on Saturday was huge; the St. Joseph's Society was there in a body, to pay their last respects. At the grave mourned the wife and many children, of whom four live in Freeport and to them our deepest condolences and to the deceased eternal rest.
