Anna Marie Primus was born February 5, 1855 in Repe, Helden, NorthRhein - Westphalia, Germany to John J. & Catherine (Nathe) Primus.

Anna Primus, less than 1 year old, her 2 1/2 year old sister Elizabeth Primus, and her parents immigrated to America and settled near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The other family members that made the nine week journey with the Primus family were Anna's paternal grandparents; John Sr & Elizabeth Primus, and three of her uncles; Casper Primus, Joseph Primus and Anton Primus.

In 1862, when the Primus family moved from Wisconsin to central Minnesota, they settled on a farm near Meire Grove in Sections 16 & 17 of Grove Township in Stearns County, Minnesota. Anna, Elizabeth and their six siblings were raised on this farm.

Anna Marie Primus married Joseph Imdieke on June 17, 1873 in Meire Grove, Stearns County, Minnesota. Anna and Joseph Imdieke settled on a farm in Section 7 & 8 of Grove Township - 1 mile northwest of the Primus homestead.

Anna and Joseph Imdieke are the parents of six children, two died in infancy. The four remaining daughters are:

- Katherine Imdieke Kemper
- Mary Imdieke Theischafer
- Agnes Imdieke Hinnenkamp
- Anna Imdieke Holdvogt

Anna M. (Primus) Imdieke died on April 10, 1882 at the age of 27 years. She is buried in St. John's Cemetery in Meire Grove, Minn.
