OBITUARY
Published in the Culbertson Progress, Culbertson, Hitchcock County, Nebraska on December 13, 1920.
Elizabeth Yost, (nee Sauer), was born in Norka, Russia, March 11, 1840, and died Feb. 1, 1920, at the age of 79 years, 11 months, 11 days. In 1858 she was united in holy wedlock to Henry Yost, who preceded her to the better home twenty-one years ago. To this union ten children were born, seven sons and three daughters, of which three sons have preceded her in death.
April 28, 1892, they immigrated to this country and settled in Culbertson, Nebraska. In 1864 she was converted, and in 1894 she joined the Sabbath church, to which she remained a faithful member until the end. She loved her Saviour and worked faithful in His vineyard. She was especially concerned in the salvation of her children.
She leaves to mourn her loss seven children, twenty-eight grand children, fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, one sister in Russia, and many relatives and friends.
Interment was made in the Culbertson cemetery. Funeral services were conducted by Chris Hornbecker assisted by Rev. A.M. Goepfert.
