Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending the arrival of some of the children from out of town, but it is expected that services will be conducted from the St. James Catholic church in Minnewaukan with the Rev. Father Engelhardt, O.S.B. officiating.
The former Olivia Martina Johnson was born July 13, 1899 near Esmond. In August 1922 she was married to Mike Medved and following their marriage they moved on a farm near Oberon and have continued to farm since.
She is survived by her husband, her parents Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Johnson of Minnewaukan, seven girls, Mrs. Irene Smith of Spokane, Mrs. Francis Smith of Tokio, Mrs. Kathleen Haine of San Antonio, Texas, Dorothy, Wilma and the twins Margaret and Magdala all living in Devils Lake, five grandchildren, five brothers, John E. Johnson of Sacramento, Calif., Fred T. & Gordon of Minnewaukan, Edwin of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Ronald of Sheyenne, eight sisters, Mrs. Ellen Halvorsen of Fillmore, Mrs. Anna Ashford of Kirkland, Wash., Mrs. Lena Darling, Mrs. Gena Tofsrud of Devils Lake, Mrs. Mable Holtz of New Rockford, Mrs. Hilda Bily of Minnewaukan, Mrs. Margaret Darling of Billings, Mont., and Mrs. Lillian Salisbury of Cooperstown.
