Mr. Meinhardt was a carpenter for the Grand Trunk Western Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1961. he was a member of St. Martin Lutheran Church. Smiths Creek Lodge 491 F & A.M., Senior Citizens of Port Huron and the Golden Agers.
He is survived by two sons, John Henry, Smiths Creek and Howard W., Port Huron, two daughers, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy) Gostinger, Holiday Fla., and Mrs. LeRoy (Elizabeth) Tremp, Port Huron; a brother, Fred, Park City, Mont. a sister, Soph Gitersonke, East Detroit, 17 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Firday in St. Martin's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Joel C. Jorgenson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Carmen E. Hamilton, L. Michael and James H Tremp, and Richard A, Joseph L and John H Meinhardt Jr. all grandsons will be pallbearers.
