PARK CITY -- Frederick "Fred" Meinhardt and his wife farmed west of Park City from 1930 until 1967. He enjoyed his grandchildren, playing cards and gardening.

Mr. Meinhardt, 81, died Saturday in his home. Born in Susannenthal, Russia, a son of Henry and Milbet Meinhardt, he came to America in 1908. He married Alwina Schmidt on May 16, 1926, in Port Huron, Mich. She died in May 1971.

Survivors include a son, Rudolph of Park City; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Erna) Petersen of Brush, Colo.; a sister, Sophie Gitersonke of East Detroit, Mich.; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church with burial in Park City Cemetery. Smith-Cashmore Memorial Chapel is in Charge.
