Mrs. Elizabeth Staton, 85, died at 10:20 p.m. Monday in Jasper County hospital, Rensselaer, where she had been a patient for two months.
She was born near Brook. In 1894 she was united in marriage to Frank Staton who died in 1938. Sixty-six years ago the couple moving into the home where Mrs. Staton was living at the time of her death. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are a son, George, of Mundelein, Ill., a sister, Mrs. Sarah Hough of Rensselaer, a granddaughter, Mrs. Lester Biere, and a great-granddaughter, Andrea Biere of Mundelein.
Funeral services will be held at the Hershman & Weston funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday, Rev. Charles Sites officiating and burial will be made in Riverside cemetery.
