HOLD SERVICES FOR MRS. HENRY ORTGIES
Funeral services for Mrs. Frieda Cray Ortgies were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the Goettsch funeral home to the St. Peter and Paul Lutheran church. Mrs. Ortgies died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday at the John McDonald hosiltal here. Burial was in Prairie Hill cemetery. The daughter of Henry Kray and Meta Steenbloch, Mrs. Ortgies was born at Anamosa September 10,1894. She was married to Henry Ortgies on Jan. 23, 1913.
Surviving Mrs. Ortgies besides her husband are two sons, William and Alvin; her mother, Mrs. Meta Kray; one
brother, Henry Kray, Monticello; three sisters,Mrs George Dirks, Anamosa, and Mrs George Schoon and Mrs. John
Brokens, both of Monticello; and two grandsons, John and Richard Pallbearers were: Gerhard Kray, Albert Kray, Edwin Kray, Benhard Brokens, Marion Dirks and Lavern Schoon.
