Mrs. Fred Roth, a former Culbertson resident who had been living in Lincoln since 1943, died Monday at the McCook hospital following a four-day illness. She was visiting local relatives when taken to the hospital for treatment.

Funeral services were held here at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Zion Evangelical U.B. church with the Rev. M.G. Braun, church pastor, officiating. During the service, the songs, "In the Sweet By and By" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus" were sung by Mrs. Wilbert Wagner and Mrs. M.G. Braun, with Sharon Deines as organist. The pallbearers were Jack Deines, Dick Crews, Jack Solomon, E.W. Eisenhart, John Barnes, and George Butherus. Burial, which was under the direction of the Herrmann funeral homes of McCook, was made in the Culbertson cemetery.

Amelia Fahrenbruch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Fahrenbruch, was born November 27, 1892 at McCook, Nebraska and died September 23, 1957 at St. Catherine's hospital, McCook, having attained the age of 64 years, 9 months, and 26 days.

The deceased spent most of her childhood in the Culbertson community. She was married to Harry Wacker of Culbertson on June 25, 1913. They were the parents of three children. One son, Harry Vincent, died in infancy. Her husband died on October 2, 1936.

Mrs. Wacker continued to live in Culbertson until 1943 when she moved to Lincoln, Nebraska with her son, Robert. On May 19, 1945 she was married to Fred Roth of Lincoln.

Survivors include her husband, Fred; one daughter, Mrs. Carl Herman of Culbertson; one son, Robert Wacker of Oak Ridge, Tennessee; her mother, Lena Fahrenbruch of McCook; two brothers, Dr. Fred Fahrenbruch of Mount Holly, New Jersey and Harry Fahrenbruch of Las Cruces, New Mexico; one sister, Mrs. Frank Wagner of Culbertson; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
