Ray Thompson, Marshall, passed away Friday, February 25, 1994, in Burnsides Nursing Home. A retired farmer, he was 90.

He was born on August 4, 1903, in Anderson Township, Clark County, to Lyman Thompson and Christine Kopper Thompson.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Emma Gard Thompson, son Harold Dean, brother Vern and grandson Brent Thompson.

Survivors include wife Edna Romoser Thompson; sons William, E. Peoria, Ed, Monticello, Hrman and Melvin, Marshall, Rev. Glenn, Queensland, Australia, Ray, Jr., Effingham, Rev. Robert, Carmi, and Warren, Rockville, IN; daughters, Marcella Scott, Riverside, CA, Janice hetherington, Danville, and Charlotte Brown and Wanda Pine, Marshall; sister Wilma Morgan, Marshall; half-brother, James Thompson, Oklahoma City, OK; 38 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday, February 28, 1994, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Marshall, with the Revs. James Smith and Jim Freeman officiating. Burial was in the Marshall Cemetery.
