MADISON — George M. Oyen, age 87, died on Monday, June 28, 1993 at his residence in Madison. He was born on March 11, 1906, in Arlington, WI. He was a Madison area resident most of his life. He married the former Angela Bowar on August 16, 1941, at St. Raphaels Cathedral in Madison. He was a member of the St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Madison. He worked for the Sears Company for over 25 years working with furniture. He is survived by a son, Keith (Sue) Oyen of Madison; a brother, Russ (Min) Oyen of Lodi; six sisters, Chestina Oyen of Madison, Mabel Johnson of Madison, Irene (Phil) Lange of Florida, Tirzah Godding of Madison, Hazel Jamieson of Madison, and Eleanore Schebel of Arizona; two grandchildren, Todd (Amy) Oven of Alabama, and Dena Oyen of Madison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Oyen on January 14, 1993; his parents, Thomas, and Dena Oyen; three brothers, Harry, Glen, and Dwain; and one sister, Gladys. Funeral services will be held at ST. PATRICK'S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 E. Main St. at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 1, 1993, where Father Raymond Maier will officiate. Interment will be held at the Roselawn Memorial Park In Monona.
