He graduated from Garden City High School in 1973. A Garden City resident since 1958, formerly of Holcomb, Mr. Burgardt delivered The Garden City Telegram to area towns.
Survivors include a brother, Michael Burgardt of Tacoma, Wash.; four sisters, Janet Linenberger, Patricia Briggs and Laurie Gerber, all of Garden City, and Coleen Burgardt of Logan, Utah; seven nephews; five nieces; 6 great-nephews; six great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; and three great-great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Vigil service will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Garden City. Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Garden City.

David lived in Holcomb until the family moved to Garden City in 1958. He attended St Mary Catholic School and graduated from Garden City High School in 1973. He worked with his Father at Pete's K-T & U-Haul Fina station until it burned down and then had the Phillips 66 Filling Station and U-Haul business at 7th & Fulton. He later delivered Pizza's for Pizza Hut and currently was delivering the Garden City Telegram to area towns. He enjoyed cars, going to car shows, reading car magazines and watching movies on TV.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Nephew & 1 Great-Nephew.
Membership: St Mary Catholic Church of Garden City.
