MRS. W.B. GREIG DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Mrs. W. G. Greig, of Windom, who had been seriously ill for some months passed away at the Union Hospital in New Ulm at 1:30 last Monday morning. The unfortunate woman had not been well since an accident in which her ankle bone was seriousy fractured when she fell from the backsteps of her home in Windom some two years ago, and this summer whe had been in the doctor's care nearly all the time.
Mr. Greig took her to her mother's home in New Ulm some three weeks ago, thinking she could have better care there, and on the following Wednesday, just after reading an encouraging letter frm her, saying she was feeling very much better and hoped to be home soon, he received a telegram stating that she had suffered a paralytic stroke. He immediately left for there and had taken her to the Union Hospital. The following Sunday he drove over there and found her apparently making a satisfactory gain frm the stroke. But last Monday morning came the startling news of her death.
The funeral was held from the home of her mother in New Ulm on Wednesday, and interment made there.
Besides the husband, Mrs. Greig leaves a daughter Vera Pearl, 8 years of age. Both father and daughter returned to Windom Thursday.
