Mrs. Davin,77, Dies; Burial to Be in New Ulm

Mrs. Charles Darvin, 77, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Berndt, pioneer New Ulm residents, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Heiko Veldmann at Hollandale, Minn. Friday night.

The funeral arrangements have not been completed today, but burial will be in New Ulm.

Bertha Berndt was born in New Ulm and grew to womanhood here. She was married to Charles Davin and the family made its home in Springfield for many years and later resided on a farm near Hollandale. Mr. Davin died about four years ago.

Mrs. Davin is survived by four sons and four daughters. The sons are Roland, Armin, Gustav (August?) and Chester and the daughters are Rose, Elsie, Erna and Mrs. Veldmann. The addresses of the children are not known.

Mrs. Davin is also survived by one sister, Mrs. William Pfaender, New Ulm and one brother, Robert Berndt, Huron, S.D.
