Emanual Hahn was born on October 17, 1894 in Hutchinson County, South Dakota. His parents were Christian and Anna (Zoller) Hahn. He was baptized on November 29, 1894 at the Zion Lutheran Church of rural Tripp. Emanual was confirmed on May 30, 1909 at the Zion Lutheran Church. He farmed with his parents until 1936, when he moved to Tripp to care for them. Emanual married Lydia Brandt on September 17, 1970 at Tripp. He was a clock and watch repairman for over 50 years. He was a member of the Tripp Emmaus Lutheran Church.

Emanual died on Monday, June 15, 1992 at the Good Samaritan Center in Tripp, South Dakota at the age of 97 years.

Surviving are his wife, Lydia Hahn, of Tripp, South Dakota, one brother, Henry Hahn, of Tripp, South Dakota and many nieces and nephews.

Emanual was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
