Mrs. Katherine Steving, 80, 2435 10th Ave., died Monday, Dec. 1 [1975] at Weld County General Hospital. She was born in Frank, Russia Jan. 15, 1895. She came to Weld County from Cook, Neb., in 1909 and married Jake Steving Feb. 15, 1914 in Greeley. Steving died Feb. 25, 1961.
They farmed in the La Salle area from 1914 to 1950, when they moved to Greeley.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical United Church of Christ.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Phil (Martha) Weber of Henderson; Mrs. Jean Deer, Greeley; Mrs. Rueben (Ester) Meyer of Greeley; Mrs. Henry (Edna) Weber of Greeley; Mrs. James E (Ruth) Lord; and Mrs. Raymond (Rose) Moser both of Greeley; two sons, Jake, Littleton and Walter, Greeley; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and a sister Mrs. Mary B Green of Greeley.
A son, Leon, died Nov. 21, 1966.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Evangelical United Church of Christ. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
