Elizabeth Armstrong, 79, passed away March 22, 2017, in Katy, Texas. Graveside funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Rose Hill Cemetery with Bro. Darren Heil officiating.

Elizabeth was born in Corsicana, Texas, to the late Talmadge Dewitt Farmer and Laura Mae Patrick Farmer. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Blooming Grove and was a member of Young at Heart. She enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy D. Armstrong in 1995; three brothers; and a sister.

Survivors include her daughters, Judy Laughlin and husband, Forrest, of Lockhart, Laura Ruth Douglass and husband, Wayne, of Katy, and Gail Schunka and husband, Donald, of Victoria; grandchildren: Leslie, Kyle, Shelby, Jace, Logan, and Coby; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jessie Farmer, of Indianapolis, Indiana; sisters: Emma Christian, of Corsicana, Rita Bernsen and husband, Wayne, of Corsicana, Sandra Youngblood, of Cedar Creek, Barbara Blum, of Vancouver, Washington, and Lita Farr and husband, Clayton, of Livingston; many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
