George J. Kippes, 58, Route 2, was dead on arrival at a Topeka hospital Friday. Dr. A. Huamann, Deputy District Coroner said Mr. Kippes had a heart ailment.

George J. Kippes was born Dec. 7, 1910 at Hays and lived in Topeka 42 years.

He was a cured tire inspector at the Topeka Goodyear Plant where he had been employed 23 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Council No. 524 and Local Union No. 397 of United Rubber Workers of America AFL-CIO.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Regina Marie Kippes at home; four daughters, Mrs. Geneva Paternoster, 3141 Colfax, Darlene Kippes, Connie Kippes and Kathie Kippes, all at home; two brothers, William F. Kippes, Route 2 and Joseph Kippes, Johnson; seven sisters, Mrs. Suzie Basgall, Fox River Grove, Ill., Mrs. Annie Joslin, Boise, Idaho., Mrs. Lizzie Leiker, Odessa, Mo., Mrs. Katie Hearl, Munjor, Mrs. Barbara Norlin, Cape Kennedy, Fla., Mrs. Lena Wahley, California and Mrs. Margaret Durant, Mira Loma, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Brennan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
