Anna Liston was born September 7, 1898, in Nickerson. She taught in rural Dodge County schools for five years before her marriage. She married Richard Suhr in April, 1923. They moved to Idaho in 1931. She returned to Nebraska in 1950. She married Edward L. Anderson January 12, 1962, in Sidney, Nebraska. He died September 25, 1986. She then moved to Arlington to live with her son, William Suhr. She died Friday, March 31, 1989, in Arlington, Nebraska. Survivors included four sons, Franklin, William, and Lavon Suhr, and Edward Anderson, Jr; three brothers and five sisters. Funeral services were April 4, 1989, with burial in Hooper Cemetery, Hooper, Nebraska. She taught school and was an accomplished pianist, who taught piano and played for many churches and organizations throughout her lifetime.
