Wilma (Liston) Meyer died Saturday, Aug. 13, 1994 at Ellsworth Co. Hospital in Ellsworth, Kansas. She was born Jan. 6, 1900 north of Hooper to Franklin E. and Helena (Hilbers) Liston. She graduated from Hooper High School in 1918 and attended Midland Normal School. She was a homemaker and rural school teacher. She married Herbert Meyer Feb. 22, 1923 at Hooper. They farmed at Deerfield, Kans, moving to Glendora, Calif. in the 1940’s. They had one son, Norvan, and one daughter, Serena. She had three brothers, Franklin, William, and Clayton, and four sisters, Mae Belle, Helena, Lolita, and Theresa. Burial was in Hooper Cemetery.
