Funeral services for George Robert August Reimnitz will be held Saturday, July 7, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Dimock.
Burial will be made in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Dimock.
George Robert August Reimnitz was born on February 22, 1924, to Paul and Lena (Blume) Reimnitz in Davison County. He was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Dimock where he was a life-long member and also held various positions. He attended country school in Davison County.
He married Anita Gemelke in Pilger, Neb., on June 20, 1948. They farmed in the Flensburg area for 20 years, then moved to a farm east of Corsica in 1967 where they lived until his death.
He died on his farm near Corsica on June 27. He attained the age of 83 years.
He is survived by his wife, Anita, Corsica; eight children, Russell Reimnitz and wife, Gladys, Corsica, Karin Mueller and husband, Howard, Milbank, Marjean Mathis, Mitchell, Douglas Reimnitz and wife, Bonnie, Corsica, Joyce VanDrongelen and husband, Ira, Harrison, David Reimnitz and wife, Jane, Sioux Falls, James Reimnitz, Mitchell, and Sheila Schafer and husband, Luke, Gillette, Wyo.; brother, Louis Reimnitz and wife, Doris, Mitchell; three sisters, Dorothy Stahl, Mitchell, Lydia Sigmund, Mitchell, and Lena Bialas and husband, Ivan, Parkston; sister-in-law, Wilma Reimnitz, Corsica; 31 grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 20 great-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Leonard, Robert, and Paul Reimnitz; sister-in-law, Beverly Reimnitz; and two brothers-in-law, Otto Stahl and Edwin Sigmund, Sr.
