Emilie (Babe) M. Schierkolk, 90, of Riverton, Wyoming died May 25, 2015 in Laramie, Wyoming. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 9:00 am, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Riverton, Wyoming, with Pastor Dave Magruder officiating. After the graveside service a reception will follow at Trinity Lutheran Church.

Emilie was born October 31, 1924 in Lovell, Wyoming to Gottfried and Sophie (Fink) Miller, who were Germans that immigrated to America from Russia. She was baptized on November 30, 1924 and confirmed in 1938. In Lovell she attended Lutheran schools and remained an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Riverton.

On November 15, 1942, Emilie married Paul C. Schierkolk at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lovell, Wyoming. They were married for 57 years. He preceded her in death, December 16, 1999.

Paul and Emilie farmed in the Powell area until March 1965 and in the Riverton area until 1970. After retirement, they did extensive traveling in their motor home. Emilie also enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and spending time with her family. She loved her big family and made every effort to attend weddings and graduations of her entire family. She was an avid sports fan and loved to watch the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos every chance she got.

She is survived by sons: Robert (Pam) Schierkolk of Casper; Michael Schierkolk of Riverton; and Lowell (Marsha) Schierkolk of Moran; daughters: Doris (Gene) Anderson of Denver, Colorado; Lois (Chuck) Monpas of Baker, Oregon; and Connie (Philip) Zielinski of Casper; grandchildren: Rob and Mary Crowe; CJ and Wendy Crowe; Jason and Janel Schierkolk; Brian and Erin Anderson; Genelle Anderson; Heidi and Derek Pollard; Kent, Craig, Lloyd and Kurtis Monpas; Kendra Van Cleave; Kera and Jason Bullard; Sarah and Josh Thiel; Jamie and Doug Baldwin; Chris and Michelle Rake; and Paxton Zielinski. great-grandchildren: Jaden, Ashlye, and Logan Anderson; Trevor, Caleb, and Brendan Pollard; Talon Van Cleave; Madison and Trevor Bullard; Damon and Mackenzie Hunt; Raquel, Brooke, Hannah, and Grant Baldwin; Cody and Jacob Crowe; Chayse and Nathan Schierkolk; Jacob Rake; sisters: Hermina (Minnie) Gams of Lovell, Sophie Panasuk of Sidney, Montana; sister-in-laws: Louise Miller and Dorothy Spragg of Lovell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Johnny, Fred and John; sisters Elizabeth, Dorothea, Katherine (Kate), and Theresa (Rosie).
