Dorothea Miller Fink, 88, of Lovell, was taken to her heavenly home March 12, 1999 of natural causes. She was born March 14, 1910 in Baskagooka, Russia, baptized into the Christian faith, March 28, 1910, and became a naturalized American citizen in 1936.

She married John Fink Jr. on January 29, 1933 and was blessed with 9 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gottfried and Sophie Miller; brothers, Fred and John Miller; son-in-law, Jack Shawley; 3 grandsons and 1 great-grandson.

Dorothea lived all of her life in the Lovell area and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her husband of 66 years, John; five sons, Daniel Helmuth (Phyllis) of Hartsel, CO, Edwin (Marie) of Casper, WY, Albert (LaRoyce) of Denver, CO, Paul (Mary Ann) of Shoshoni, WY, and Gottlieb Butch (Kandida) of Lovell, WY; four daughters, Marie Louise Shawley of Grangeville, ID, Lillian (Richard) Hettinger of Lovell, WY, Hermina (Harland) Hess of Rozet, WY, and Linda (Harvey) Sachau of Rapid City, SD; five sisters, Kate Spomer of Powell, WY, Rose Harrison of Lovell, WY, Sophie Panasuk of Bainville, MT, Minnie Gams of Lovell, WY, and Babe Schierkolk of Riverton, WY; 27 grandchildren and 57 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Services will be at St. John's Lutheran Church, March 16, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Brandt officiating. Haskell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements, with burial in the Lovell Cemetery. In observance of the Lenten season, memorials may be given to the Lutheran Hour Ministry or to a memorial of your choice, in lieu of flowers.
