Henry Wagner was the son of John & Maria Catharina (Weiand) Wagner).

He married Susannah Abel on 11 Aug 1829 in Harrison Co., OH. They had at least 14 children:

(Carroll Chronicle, Carrollton, OH - Friday, Jan. 21, 1887)

Wagner--January 14, 1887, Henry Wagner of Union Township--aged 84 years, 11 months and 5 days. His remains were interred in the St. John's cemetery, Perry Township, on the Sunday following. Rev. G. N. Schmucker officiating. Mr. Wagner was born in Pennsylvania, and was one of the pioneers in this county, and was also one of the old Jackson Democrats. He was the father of fourteen children, ten of whom are still living to mourn their father's departure. He was a faithful member of the Ev. Lutheran Church.
