Christian Biel, 79, passed away Tuesday at his home, 1102 Erie avenue.
Born at Andrea, Russia, on Nov. 11, 1864, the son of Casper and Barbara Biel, the deceased came to America in 1912, settled in Sheboygan, and lived in this city since.
He is survived by his wife, the former Helena Rusch, to whom he was married on Feb. 6, 1890, while still in Russia; eight daughters, Mrs. Jacob (Amalia) Herman; Mrs. Fred (Helen) Schaefer; Mrs. Henry (Dorthea) Eirich; Mrs. David (Katherine) Yurk; Mrs. David (Emily) Ruppel; Mrs. John (Marie) Kraus; Mrs. Alexander (Rosalie) Kraus, and Miss Thelma Biel, all of Sheboygan; 37 grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ballhorn Funeral chapels, with interment in Lutheran cemetery.
