LUDWIG REHLING PASSES AWAY AT HOME WEDNESDAY

Death Takes Respected Member From Ranks Of Pioneers

This community was saddened this week at the news of the death of one of its highly respected pioneers, Ludwig Rehling. He passed away at his home, early Wednesday, following a prolonged illness at the age of 69 years and eleven months.
His death marks the passing of one of Pender's early day citizens, who saw and helped cause the development of this agricultural country. When a lad of seventeen he arrived in America from Germany and for several years lived in Dodge County, moving to Thurston County in 1889, the year Thurston County was officially organized.
The funeral will be conducted by R. F. Remme Saturday. Services at the home will be at one o'clock and at the St. Petri's Lutheran Church at 2 p.m., Rev. Krauleidies officiating.
The Times expresses their sympathy to the bereaved family of Mr. Rehling.
