Elizabeth Catherine Guyer, 90, Topeka, died Monday, March 28, 1994 at a Topeka care home. She was born July 5, 1903 in Topeka, the daughter of Adam and Elizabeth Youngkeim Desch.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Altar Society at the church, the Altar Society at the church, St. Anthony's Guild and was an associate member of Telephone Pioneers of America.

She was married to Vernard M. Guyer Sr., Nov. 1, 1921 in Topeka. He died in October 1972. A daughter died in infancy. Survivors include a son, Vernard M. Guyer Jr., Topeka; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mrs. Guyer will lie in state from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where rosaries will be recited by St. Anthony's Guild at 6 p.m. by the Altar Society at 6:15 p.m. and by the parish at 6:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 227 S.W. Van Buren, 66606.
