John Casper Desch, 63, of 231 Madison, died Monday at the home of a sister, Mrs. Helen Livingston, 408 Curtis. Mr. Desch was born June 11, 1889 in Pfeifer, Russia, and came to the United States and to Topeka 61 years ago.

He was a retired employee of the McEntire Bros., Inc. Mr. Desch was a
member of St. Joseph's Church.

He is survived by four brothers, Adam J. of 500 Wilson; Andrew of 518 North Jackson; Jacob of 119 North Taylor, and Peter of Marysville; four sisters, Mrs. Catherine Allendorf of 620? North Topeka Aveunue; Mrs. Elizabeth Guyer of 621 Lafayette; Mrs. Marion Devlin of 417 Fairchild, and Mrs. Livingston; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Arnold, 2819? California; four sons, Ronald and Vincent of the home; Darrell of 345? Twiss; Nolan of 222? Buchanan, and Jerome of 742 Freeman, now in the U.S. Army; two step-sons, John and Sylvester Broast of 215 Madison; two step-daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Burghart of 218 Madison, and Miss Marie Broast of 228? Harrison; six grandchildren, and seven step-grandchildren.
