Massena, Ia., May 1.— (Special)— Alice Ruth Stender, 26, a graduate of the Cumberland high school and Iowa State Teachers college, died at the home of her father, Peter Stender, in Edna township Thursday evening.

She had been in failing health about six months and death followed a heart attack Thursday.
