WIFE OF FARMER NEAR CUMBERLAND PASSES AWAY
Cumberland, Ia., Feb. 15 - Mrs. Stender, wife of Peter Stender, is dead at the family home southeast of Cumberland after a short illness. She was 48 years of Age.
Mrs. Stender, whose maiden name was Julia Larson, was born at Leland, Illinois, March 28, 1874. Her parents moved to Iowa when she was one year old. She was married to Mr. Stender Feb. 16 1898. She is survived by her husband and six children, her father, two brothers and five sisters.

Julia was baptized a Lutheran in Illinois and was later a member of the Methodist Church in Massena
