COOK — Frances L. Grotrian, 84, Cook, died Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2000 at the Syracuse Good Samaritan Center. She was bom May 29, 1916, the daughter of Alfred and Florence (Bomberger) Riensche, rural Burr. She was married to Otis C. Grotrian on Sept. 25, 1940 at Cook.

Frances graduated from Cook High School. She attended Peru State Teachers College, and taught school near Vesta. She was a member of St. Paul's Helena and Grace Lutheran Church where she was very active. She was a devoted farm wife and mother. She went to work at Good Sam as an aide when she was 60 years old, working for 10 years.

Services were held Thursday, Nov. 9, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Cook, with Rev. Chris Kester Beyer officiating. Burial in Helena Cemetery, rural Cook, Nebr. Memorials to family's choice. Arrangements by Fusselman-Wymore-Marshall Funeral Home, Syracuse.
