Obituary:
Julius Herman Stutheit, son of Herman and Emma Marquardsen Stutheit, was born on a farm in Nemaha county, south of Johnson, December 2, 1883. He was one of 12 children.

He was bpaptized in infancy and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at St. Paul's (Stutheit)Church, rural Auburn, Nemaha, NE. In later years, after moving into Auburn, He transfered his membership to Trinity Lutheran in Auburn, NE.

He received his education in Pleasant View Rural School.

August 21, 1919 he was married to Augusta Hogrefe at St. John's Lutheran Church(Stone). They lived on the Stutheit home farm until 1929. For the next 16 years Julius worked on farms in the Johnson community. In 1945 they moved to Auburn where they have since lived.

Four children were born to this union. one son, Paul, died July 5, 1939.

Mr. Stutheit suffered a stroke four years ago, Since that date he has been in gradually failing health. His condition became such that it was necessary for him to be moved to the Hoofer nursing home on Feb. 1,
He suffered a severe stroke Feb.8 and passed away early Sunday morning. Feb. 26, 1967, having reached the age of 83 years, 2 months and 24 days.

In addition to his son, Paul, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Augusta, of Auburn, son, Herbert G. Stutheit of Kearney, NE. daughters, Alice (Mrs. Henry Rogge)of Ruskin, NE. and Pearl (Mrs. Elmer Steffens) of Auburn, Ne. five grandchildren; two brothers, Ernest of Auburn and John of Johnson. six sisters, Mrs. Ferd Michel of Johnson, Mrs. John Oestmann of Auburn, Mrs. John Moerer of Englewood, CA. Mis Ida Stutheit of Johnson, Mrs. Albert Moerer of Johnson and Mrs. Edwin Oestmann of Johnson. Also by many nieces and nephew, other realtives and friends.

Services held Feb. 28, 1967 at Trinity Lutheran in Auburn, NE. Burial at St. Paul's (Stutheit)Cemetery.
