Mrs. Mary Pink Dies Wednesday In Guttenberg
AGED GUTTENBERG LADY PASSES TO HER REWARD AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS
Mrs. Mary Pink, 75 year old Guttenberg woman, passed away at her home at 5 o'clock Wednesday evening, after being ill for a short time.
Mrs. Pink came to Guttenberg with her parents from Cincinnati, Ohio, when she was two years old, and spent the remainder of her life here with the exception of a couple of years spent at La Crosse, Wis.
She was born in Cincinnati on May 2, 1857. On Feb. 3, 1874 she was united in marriage to Andrew Pink in this city. To this union were born nine children, eight of which survive. One daughter died in infancy and Mr. Pink preceded his wife in death on March 6, 1919.
Left to mourn her passing are her eight children: Mrs. Lizzie Harter, Marshfield, Wis.; Mrs. Clara Eilers, Yankson, S. Dak.; Henry, Waterloo; John, Ben, Edward, Albert and Anna of Guttenberg. There is one sister, Mrs. Anna Koopman of Dyersville and one brother, Ben Tieke, of Dubuque.
Funeral services will be held from St. Mary's church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock with Rev. J. A. Dupont officiating. Interment will be made beside her husband in Mt. Olivet cemetery.
