Joe Ondrej, age 92, of 300 Haven in West, formerly of Route 1, Penelope, died Tuesday morning, May 2, 1989 in West Rest Haven.

Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Catholic Church of Nativity in Penelope, with Rev. John Molnar as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, West.

Mr. Ondrej was born October 8, 1896 in Cameron and had lived in the Penelope and West area most of his life.

He was a retired farmer and a member of the Catholic Church of Nativity in Penelope.

Mr. Ondrej married Emilie Urbanovsky, February 7, 1927.

He is survived by his wife; one son, Joe B. Ondrej of Houston; two daughters, Bernice Hykel of Elm Mott and Georgia Davis of Evansville, Indiana; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were all grandsons.
