Mrs. Edward Sauerhering, nee Eugenia Langenbach, was born in Theresa on Mar. 14, 1870, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Langenbach. The family came to this city when she was nine years of age, and she attended the local schools and a convent school at Racine.
On June 21, 1889, she was married to Edward Sauerhering. In 1895 Mr. Sauerhering was elected as congressman for the district, and the family resided in Washington, D. C., until 1899. They spent the remainder of their lives here, where Mr. Sauerhering died on Mar. 1, 1924.
Mrs. Sauerhering was a member of the Woman's club, the Garden club, and the Ladies sodality of St. Mary's church.
Surviving are two sons, Carl and A. L. Sauerhering, Milwaukee; a daughter, Louise, Mrs. Rudolph Hartwig, this city; a sister, Mrs. L. S. Keeley this city; a brother, A. G. Langenbach, West Bend; and three grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Monday morning at St. Mary's church, the Rev. R. A. Kramer officiating. Interment was made in the new parish cemetery.

Gahagan, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Husting, Victor Husting, Alice Fickert, of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Clarenbach, Sheboygan; Mrs. Carl Langenbach Lacrosse; Mr. and Mrs. John Gray, Beloit; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Gray, Clarence Keeley, Chicago; Mrs. Will Rueping and son Will, Fond du Lac; Mrs. Antoinette Lang, Madison.
