Miss Minnie Swanson, daughter of Charles P. Swanson of Oakland, and Henry Pederson (sic) of Ruskin, Neb., were married by Rev. Charles W. Savidge, at his residence Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock. They were accompanied by Lars Pederson (sic) and Miss Laure Swanson, brother and sister of the bride and groom.

Henry Pedersen, 75, former well known Superior man, died at Mt. Vernon, Wash., Saturday, May 13.


Mr. Pedersen was born near Ruskin, and lived at various times in Hardy, Mt. Clare and Guide Rock, as well as Superior. He left here in 1948 for the west coast, then moved back to Wichita, Kan., where he was employed by Boeing Aircraft Corp., until 1956 when he returned to Mt. Vernon. He retired nine years ago.


He was a director for many years of the Farmers Union Co-op Creamery Company of Superior, was a director of the Nebraska Farmers Union, and served for three terms as a state senator, representing the 27th senatorial district of Nebraska. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Mt. Vernon, and was active in the Skagit County Grange.


Surviving are his wife, the former Doris Simms; three sons, Charles E. of Pendleton, Ore., Robert V. of LeMoore, Calif., Wayne L., Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Bill Baxter (Phyllis) of Seattle and Mrs. Jerry Cole (Judy) of Imperial Beach, Calif.; 14 grandchildren, and his brother, Lars Pedersen, of Hastings.


Funeral services will be held at the Union Church of Hardy, Friday at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Vernon LeMon officiating, and burial will be in the Hardy cemetery (sic). (NOTE: He is buried in Spring Creek Cemetery, so possibly re-interred when his wife passed away)
