We are told of the marriage Wednesday of Miss Gertie Sorenson to Peter Peterson (sic), at the home of the bride in this precinct. Both are from the long time homes of this section and have many friends to join in wishing them every success in their union. Miss Sorenson is the oldest daughter of Mads Sorenson and Mr. Peterson (sic) is the second son of Rasmus Peterson (sic), both of wealth and position in the community, and the Herald joins their acquaintances in bidding them every welcome. - Hardy Herald.

Services Friday For P.A. Pedersen


Funeral services wen held at the Scott Mortuary in Hardy, and at the Bethany Lutheran church (sic) south of Buskin last Friday for Peter A. Pedersen, well known farmer of the Hardy community, who passed away Jane 7. Rev. Immanuel Petersen officated (sic) at the services, and burial was in Spring Creek cemetery (sic). The obituary:


Peter A. Pedersen was the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Pedersen and was born on a farm northeast of Hardy, April 2, 1885. He passed away at the age of 65 yearn 2 months and 5 days at Bryan Memorial hospital in Lincoln, Nebr., on June 7, 1950.


He was confirmed at Bethany Lutheran church (sic) and was united in marriage to Gertie G. Sorensen on September 15, 1909. To this .onion were born five children.


He has lived all his life in Hardy community. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, five children, namely, Herbert Arthur, Fern Miller and Glen of Hardy and Merle Tomlinson of Lincoln, Nebr., also 13 grandchildren, one preceding him in death; four brothers, John of Superior, Chris and Lon of Hardy, and Henry, of Seattle, Wash.; other relatives and a host of friends.


He was devoted to his home, his family and grandchildren and fond of all small children
