Louis N Hutmacher Dies Wednesday at Home In Dieterich

Louis Nicholas Hutmacher, 70, passed away at Home at 4 pm, Wednesday, June 4, 1958 due to a heart attack. He had been suffering from a heart condition for the past few years.

Mr. Hutmacher is survived by his wife, Mary, one son, Norbert Hutmacher of Michigan City, Ind; three brothers, Frank Hutmacher, Shumway, William Hutmacher, Chamberlain, Brule, South Dakota, USA, and Edward Hutmacher, of Dieterich; four sisters, Mrs Mathilda Lustig, Mrs Arnieta Lustig, Mrs Dorothy Culp and Mrs Lucille Buennemeyer, all of Effingham, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted at the Immaculate Conception Church in Dieterich at 10 o'clock Saturday morning with Rev Fr Collins officiating with burial in the parish Cemetery. The Wright funeral service was in charge.

Louis Nicholas Hutmacher, born May 25, 1888, in Dieterich, Illinois, son of Nicholas Hutmacher and Anna Barcum, died at 4:00 pm Wednesday in his home in Dieterich.

Surviving is his wife, Mary, a son, Norbert Hutmacher of Michigan City, Ind; brothers, Frank Hutmacher, Shumway, William Hutmacher, Chamberlain, Brule, South Dakota, USA, and Edward Hutmacher, of Dieterich; four sisters, Mrs Mathilda Lustig, Mrs Arnieta Lustig, Mrs Dorothy Culp and Mrs Lucille Buennemeyer, Effingham, four grandchildren, Annette, Richard, Gail and Thomas Hutmacher.

Burial services were held in Immaculate Conception Church in Dieterich, Saturday at 9:30 am with Rev James Collins offering the requiem High mass.

Louis Hutmacher was married to Mary A Trapp September 27, 1910 in Dieterich. He spent his lifetime in Dieterich and vicinity.

He was a member of the Holy Name Society and an honorary member of the Dieterich Volunteer Fire department, served on the village board for twelve consecutive years. He was employed by the Illinois Central Railroad for 37 years retiring in June, 1955. Since that time he has been in ill health. brothers preceding him in death are Arthur, Albert, Joseph and Leo.
