Helen Osczevski was born in Bukovinia on February 6th 1901. She was the daughter of Felix Osczevski and Katherine Vollhoffer. She immigrated to Canada in 1910. In 1916 she married Jack Hilderbrandt, they had one son Joseph. In 1918 Jack would die in the flu epidemic, five months later Helen would give birth to their daughter Josephina. Sadly this child would only live five months. Around 1920 Helen would marry Jack's brother Anton. Their children Margaret and Katherine were born in Regina. When the children were young the family moved to Portland, Ore.



Her obit:

Mass for Helen Theresa Hildebrand, 7406 N. Williams Ave., will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Mrs. Hildebrand died Wednesday. She was born Feb. 6, 1901, in Austria and came here in 1923. She was a member of the Altar Society of Holy Redeemer Church.

Survivors include her widower, Anton; daughters Mrs. Margaret Cook, Portland, and Mrs. Katherine Bethiaume, Ontario, Canada; son, Joe, Portland; brother Anton Osczebski; and sisters Mrs. Emily Shrier and Mrs. Irma Simpson.
