Anton came to Canada in about 1909 and came directly to Southey, Saskatchewan. He would work as a blacksmith here. Anton married Olga starosta on February 2, 1913 in Southey.
Anton and Olga would live in Southey until 1925 when they moved to Raymore. They had ten children, two of whom died in infancy and are buried in the Southey Cemetery.
Anton was a big man but a quiet man. He played the button accordion and the violin. Anton made the cross that appears on their grave site.
